I think one of the areas we lack immensely as humans today is seeing the positive or the good in anything. I get that since we live in a world with hurt, pain and disappointments, it's easier to safe guard ourselves by expecting the worst.
The problem however becomes worse when we take that same approach with God. When we apply the same kind of logic to God, who is not like man. When we carry our baggage with other humans and apply it towards God. I believe it's crucial for us to approach God differently and look at how, when He promises us something, He isn't like man to back away or run away. God does what He says.
So here are 10 promises I want to encourage you with today found in the Bible.
Joh 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
1Sa 12:22 For the LORD will not forsake his people, for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people for himself.
Psa 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Php 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
1Pe 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you
1Jn 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
Heb 13:6 So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”
2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
